This virus can spread through nose, eyes and mouth, similar to other airborne viruses. It can also spread by touching infected person.
I may be immune since I already had smallpox which has 30+% mortality rate. I was vaccinated for smallpox at around age 7, but got infected 2 years later. That reinforces my theory that even one of the best vaccines ever created failed to “PROTECT” me from infection. But the vaccine had done it’s job by stocking my body with sufficient anti-bodies, and I recovered after 7 days of high fevers and pox blisters size of a dime all over my 7 year old body. I still have some marks on my face left behind by smallpox, visible after 73 years since recovery.
