I don’t know what the Grand Masters is about, or Nebulas. At first I thought ‘Golf?’. I spent the first few paragraphs trying to figure out; “What is this article about?”

Then, near the forth paragraph it was seen:
A well known white writer referred to a black writer as
‘colored’ instead of African American. Okay. got it.

I never agreed with that term. It was Jesse Jackson who popularized it. That scorned writer is 72 y/o. During her younger years, the term ‘Colored’ or Negro was very common.
Sad that she has to deal with such intolerant purists.

Je$$ie Jack$on has spent the last 60 years running away from the word “black” and dragging the rest of his tribe with him.

especially when the people referred to are not african americans unless they emigrated from africa and became a US citizen. If they were merely born here, they are americans. Period. Idiocy to act otherwise.

The well=known black writer is also openly gay and has written about it forever. He is also elderly.

I like Delaney’s work, especially his short stories. Not into fantasy, so Lackey is not someone with whom I’m familiar.

The social justice twits have politicized science fiction to the point of ridicule....of them.
