It was a long day of travel but we’re back at it on the Sussmann trial.
This morning started with testimony from Bill Priestap, who in September 2016 was the FBI’s Assistant Director of Counterintelligence. His testimony was expected, even before the witness lists were put out. Back in January, we observed that Priestap had testified before a grand jury. In fact, Priestap himself stated today that he testified before the grand jury in June 2021.
A little bit of background on Priestap before we begin. Priestap approved the opening of Crossfire Hurricane and decided against defensive briefings being provided to the Trump Campaign. He was Peter Strzok’s supervisor and also approved the use of all the confidential human sources used against the Trump campaign (Stefan Halper, et al.).

They tried to destroy a duly elected president, using multiple types of false info. (A. Steele dossier; B. The alleged cyber link between Trump Campaign & Alfa Bank.)
They knew it was false, because they had paid experts to fabricate it. (A. Christopher Steele, Glenn Simpson, Nellie Ohr & Fusion GPS; B. Rodney Joffe & data analysis experts at the University of Georgia.)
They manipulated the FBI and the media to do the heavy lifting for them. They used friendly people in both the media (CNN, MSNBC, Buzzflash, Daily Beast) and the FBI (Jim Baker, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Jim Priestap, Bruce Ohr [Nellie's husband]).
THIS WAS TREASON. The penalty for treason is death. There is no statute of limitations. They should all hang on the same scaffold, in front of the Capitol building at high noon. Just like the Abraham Lincoln assassination conspiracy. Just like the Clint Eastwood film "Hang 'Em High." They should all drop with one pull of the lever.
ALL OF THEM. Hillary, Obama, Biden, Comey, McCabe, Clinesmith, Mr. & Mrs. Ohr, Simpson, Strzok, Page, Priestap, Simpson, Joffe, Sussmann, Podesta ... ALL OF THEM.
However, about that "fair trial" ...
The judge in the Sussmann trial, Christopher Cooper, is black. He is an Obama nominee. He was one of the main people in Obama's 2008 transition team. His wife was Eric Holder's national security adviser. Then she went into private practice, where she is now the attorney for Lisa Page.
Five of the 12 jurors in the Sussmann trial are known to have close personal links to either Sussmann, or the Hillary campaign, or the Democratic Party. Not just voting for them. The kind of links that would get them disqualified, if the judge hadn't been an Obama nominee. That's what you get in the District of Columbia, where over 90% of the presidential votes went to Joe Biden.
So what are the chances that any of them will get a fair trial ... fair to the American people, and to the truth?

What is the justification for asserting that Durham has been running out the clock?
The meeting between Sussmann and the FBI when the lie allegedly occurred took place on September 19, 2016.
Durham indicted Sussmann on September 16, 2021, three days shy of five years later. The indictment was timed to beat the statute of limitations. The clock stopped once the charges were filed.

It doesn’t stop on other parties.
This was lying to the FBI (perjury), which typically has a five year statute of limitations.
I'm not a legal expert by any means, but I'd think that there are still crimes of abuse of authority under color of law within the FBI and DoJ-at-large. I don't think statute of limitations will apply to the people who were charged with following the law who then abused the law to cover up their crimes. In other words, the statute of limitations clock begins with the last count of the crime, and those counts are allegedly still ongoing.

You imply he knew something and didn’t act on it, or just did nothing for some length of time. I assume you know nothing that supports that.

We all know that the DoJ and FBI wouldn't go as far as they did on their own; the orders came directly from the Oval Office. The question is whether Durham will stop at Clinton, or does he want to go into the White House?
You're probably right that he doesn't have the stomach to go for Obama directly, but what about Jake Sullivan, the current National Security Advisor? What about Clapper and Brennan? What about Comey and McCabe? What about Peter Strzok and Lisa Page?
Once Durham has put together the program of actors, he can then tell the story of conspiracy.
He's not there yet, but he got one big step closer.
