The grief-stricken husband of a fourth-grade teacher killed in the Uvalde, Texas, school massacre died of a heart attack just two days after the mass shooting, family said on Thursday.
Joe Garcia died in the aftermath of the Robb Elementary School shooting that killed 19 children and two teachers — including his wife of 24 years, Irma Garcia, her nephew said on Twitter.

It is now being recommended that even if you are in attendance at a shooting, or have shot someone, you quickly get a hospital check up, as that level of stress can kill.
It changes the equation: an armed robber breaks into your house and you shoot him. The police arrive and you, the homeowner, asks them for transport to the hospital, even though you show no sign of obvious injury.
Secondary victims, like this guy, also need to get checked out. Sometimes lethal effects can cascade unseen by the eye or feelings, yet they can be detected in blood tests. The injury or death of a loved one can be very deleterious to your health.
