The dead will not be raised until Jesus returns. This stuff is demonic. The evil ones can be very convincing and be dressed in sheep’s clothes.

Pulling in to the folks’ place some time after my father’s passing, I saw him on the riding mower, plain as day. Big smile, fusing shirt and hat. Happy as a lark.

Agreed. And it can deceive the best of people. A good Christian woman at our church described when her mother died, the nurse said that an elderly man visited her just before he died.
The woman thought that was very odd as the only person that had been visiting the mom was her! She asked the nurse if she had talked to the man so the lady could figure out who it was.
“No - I was going to enter the room but they were talking so I didn’t want to bother them. When I came back he was gone, which was odd as I was waiting for him to leave and walk by the desk on his way out but he never did.”
The lady then asked for a description, and it fit the lady’s dad (husband of the dying mom) that had died years earlier.
This was years ago before I came to the understanding that ghosts are demons.
However, and while I do believe in ghosts (as Jesus did), why didn’t Jesus take the time to educate Thomas(?) when Jesus said something like “Do you think I’m a ghost? Put your finger in my wound...”. Jesus could have added “Ghosts are from the Devil.”
All is well until the kid starts making clay pots with his dad.
First time ever that some parent saw their kid playing with their imaginary friend.
Suitable behavior for a young child - but sad when it is the daddy that will never be coming home.
We were out with a couple and their adult child with mental disabilities. Very high functioning, can keep a job with close supervision, shy but will speak to you. She mentioned something to her mom about how she was worried about Samantha being left alone for so long at home alone, she was pretty upset by it.
Turns out Samantha is her imaginary friend.

Had a family member pass away. Some odd things happened a few nights later (no details publicly or privately at this time).
I was alone so no one else witnessed it.

Same here. Just the first week after departing.
Yeah the odd things (3) happened all within 1-3 hours (don’t know exact time because I was asleep, woke up, asleep, woke up).
Physically impossible what happened, for all intents and purposes.
Mr K sees his older brother, deceased as of some years ago in a mountain climbing accident, all the time. Usually this is in dreams. He sees his wife, who died of cancer in 2006, frequently as well. This is usually in a dream but sometimes he will have a momentary glimpse of her and something will happen like a closed door will open, or something will fall off a shelf. Heck, I even saw her once in a dream - I didn’t even know who she was but later I described her to Mr K and he said that was her, right down to the straw gardening hat she used to wear all the time.
After my dad died I heard him yelling at me a couple of times, lol. It was very clear. (Some things never change!)
They’re just reminding us
For awhile after my mother’s passing, I would go into the kitchen and see all the cupboards open. I came to the conclusion that she was just dropping by. More joke than poltergeist. She had a great sense of humor.
Mr K’s wife shows up from time to time because she’s worried about Mr K. (I guess?) She died in 2006 and I moved in here in 2010 - he was not doing well at that point without her help. He was about to lose his house, at the very least.
His brother usually has some sort of information for him - in dreams, they go for walks and his bro shows him things that are about to happen.
Too bad people berate and disparage stuff like this. Of course it’s hard to prove! lol This is an age when hoaxes abound.
But if you talk to folks, you’ll find that almost everyone has an account of something happening that suggests that dead folks don’t just fall into the darkness and that’s it.
If the scent of gardenias are in the air around me, I know she’s around, too
