All you do is disarm good people, and create a new market for Cartels to exploit. And their smuggled guns are only sold to crooks.
Little known fact, hand grenades are illegal in Sweden. yet, they go off almost daily.
Yeah: People don't want to be herded off to concentration camps in boxcars.
Criminals still get guns, so gun crime continues.
When they manage to keep drugs out of prisons is just the very start of when bans can be considered effective... using highly invasive searches of all concerned.
But they haven’t managed even that just quite yet.
Nevermind the unacceptability of a ban of Constitutionally-protected items.
and without good guys with guns, the criminal crime grows exponentially.
