People need to watch The Killing Fields. It’s basically kids turning in their parents and other adults for being anti-communist. Millions died in Cambodia after Nam and because they first disarmed them.

I am guessing that there are many school teachers that have plans to get children to file red flag complaints against their parents.

I'm sure. Not to mention far-left sisters-in-laws.

You can file an ERPO against anyone. They’re supposed to be reviewed by a judge but sometimes that takes months and the ERPO goes into effect immediately. In the meantime, you lose your guns.

This red flag stuff is ripe for political abuse, just as swatting has become.

Hunter Biden is clearly mentally ill. He is clearly a drug and alcoholic addict. A Sex addict.

Should he be allowed a gun. All Dems should have to answer that question

The Rats want a deal where a mere accusation is all that is needed to SWAT a gun owner. They want do do away with the Constitution with red flag laws.

Those two sentences are enough to trigger a red flag SWAT from a leftist.

United States v. Lopez, 514 U.S. 549 (1995)

Primary Holding

Gun possession is not an economic activity that has any impact on interstate commerce, whether direct or indirect, so the federal government cannot base a law prohibiting gun possession near schools on the Commerce Clause.

"The possession of a gun in a local school zone is in no sense an economic activity that might, through repetition elsewhere, substantially affect any sort of interstate commerce."

Congressional reaction? Pass the law again. And again it hits the courts. And what do the courts do the second time around? They find that by golly, GFSZ Act is a proper exercise of the commerce clause power.

Clowns in every branch. Boot on your neck, they are loaded with power and eager to use it against the public.

The courts are just as bad as Congress in enabling the government do what the government is not entitled to do. And why not? The power is there for the taking. The people will submit. "Rule of law."

-- Haven't the courts already determined "red flag" laws unconstitutional? --

No. The opposite. No consitutional impediment.

Courts are creatures of the government first. All presumptions run in favor of the government, except for the laughable presumption of innocence when charged with a crime. No criminal charge? Government is presumed fully correct and within its power. All burdens lie with defendant.

Government is a powerful, dishonest force.

I’d appreciate if Republicans would offer the following amendment,
Those who advocate for or vote for restrictions on private citizen use of personal weapons will be forever forbidden the use of armed security in any capacity. Those same advocates will permanently forfeit their personal firearms and will be restricted from occupying a dwelling containing any firearm.

In a country divided by politics and fueled by hatred generated by the ruling class, red flag laws are a formula for making things much worse.

People know that anything and everything will be a red flag. People will make up things just to get someones gun rights removed from them because they dislike and disagree politically.

The democrat party has no problem promoting the killing of people in any way except with guns. They like baby murder, they like forcing experimental fake injections that kill people, and they certainly like drone strikes that kill innocent families with no remorse at all.

Mr Cornyn needs to ask the democrats he is aiding to answer to these things.

Cornyn saw the polling when he initially supported this unconstitutional plan and now is folding faster than Superman on laundry day with all the push back. All politicians suck.

Yep, and Cornyn sucks more than most.

My Sister and her husband live in a nice neighborhood in Pittsburgh.
One of their neighbors, of 30 years, sold their house.
My Sister was walking their dog and saw the woman, outside.
She stopped, to wish her well.
The woman said “We’re leaving because we’re afraid of you. You’re White Supremacists.”
Apparently, in 2020, the woman’s husband demanded that my Brother In Law remove their “Trump 2020” yard sign.
My BIL said “No!”.

Red Flag laws are where the rubber meets the road. The other things in that bill were OK. Red Flag laws however are not. They violate due process of law.

How about the banning of large capacity magazines or ammo feeding devises as these idiots proposed? A 30 round magazine is an integral part of the firearm that accepts it. The military uses them so must the militia. Period. No negotiations.

I didn’t see any mag bans in the proposed Senate version. I agree with you and would have objected to that if I’d seen it.

We can hope, but this POS doesn't have to run for several years.
