Former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil has shared that she had an abortion in 2015.
Maria, 29, shared a photo of herself just days after she had an abortion at 21 and said she cannot imagine how her life would've turned out if she had been forced to carry that pregnancy to term.
The U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade, ending the constitutional right to abortion in the U.S., means individual states can decide whether abortion can be made illegal. Posting to social media, Maria wrote: 'I was 21 when I had my #abortion and there isn't a single day that goes by where I am not grateful that I had could safely access the procedure and healthcare for my circumstances.'
'We're witnessing a violent attack on bodily autonomy and agency. Being forced to carry a pregnancy to term is not a respectable consequence of womanhood. It is a violation of personhood,' she continued.
'And this is not about babies or honouring personhood. If it was, then where the **** is action toward equitable access to education, healthcare & contraception? Where the **** is swift action on major injustices like gun violence, child marriage & sexual abuse?'
Maria sent her condolences to those directly impacted by the decision.
'My heart is with people who will suffer emotional damage or lose their lives to unsafe back-alley procedures and refusal of healthcare. My heart is especially with marginalised communities who will die disproportionately as a result of this decision,' she wrote.
Echoing the words of United States President Joe Biden, Maria wrote: 'This is a sad day in history.'

She’s from Australia, what difference does U.S. law make to her? She’s on the other side of the planet and could very well never set foot in this country. U.S. laws should matter about as much to her as Iranian law. Why doesn’t she protest Iranian law? She claims she’s a bisexual so they’d throw her off a building if she lived in Iran, why isn’t she irate about that?

Blacks represent 33% of abortions but were typically hesitant in getting the jab. But not the case with white liberal women, representing 50-55% of abortions. White liberal woman would see fewer abortions... if roe v Wade hadn’t been overturned
Thus we’re left with waiting until the fall for the stats to start to show the damage of the jabs.

Show me where in the U.S. Constitution that Abortion is written. It is simply not there. It was interpreted into law by a prior Supreme Court Case. And was overturned by the current Court, as having no constitutional basis.
Each state in Australia has its own laws for abortions. That means that the US laws are now consistent with the practice in Australia. It isn’t a “procedure” nor is it “healthcare.” It is a convenience used by women who use their own bodies like play toys and commodities. I can remember times when a contestant in ANY world-recognized pageant wouldn’t have dared to admit they’d already had sex, much less an abortion.
They’ve had 50 years of sexual freedom, “reproductive healthcare” and joined their place as “equals among men.” What have they done? Ended the potential lives of 40-60 million souls. Great going there, gals.
