Democrats spending millions to protect 2 blue state senators (panic in Washington, Colorado)

Less than a year ago, a GOP Senate victory in deep blue Washington state would have been unthinkable. But now, Democrats are spending millions on advertising in several once-reliable Democratic strongholds, including Washington, as Republicans build national momentum and push for new Senate pickups.

There’s a similar panic in Colorado, where Tuesday’s GOP Senate primary has also drawn millions of dollars in Democratic-funded ads to boost a far-right candidate, a massive last-ditch campaign to keep a moderate Republican off the ballot this fall.

Washington’s Democratic Sen. Patty Murray, meanwhile, has spent more than $1 million on television ads in recent weeks, including two attacking her Republican opponent, Tiffany Smiley, in a state President Joe Biden won by nearly 20 points.

Both sets of ad buys suggest that Republicans are pressing to expand the number of Senate races in which they might pick up a seat in the narrowly divided chamber - and Democrats are worried they may be becoming even more vulnerable.

Murray’s scramble to boost her standing months before the November election - and to attack Smiley on her stance against abortion rights - comes as new polling shows the blue-state race has tightened even before Smiley begins her own advertising on air.

In a poll conducted last week and obtained by POLITICO, Murray is leading Smiley by 5 percentage points, just over the survey’s 4.1 percent margin of error. The internal Smiley poll, conducted by The Tarrance Group, had Murray with 48 percent of the vote, compared to Smiley at 43 percent.

It would be amazing if the fraudulent vote operations in Cheatlorado and Thievington state were in actual danger.

I have never known Murray to campaign in eastern Washington like she is now. She’s using a lot of visual media which will hopefully hurt her chances. The woman is a troll.

Both seats are "getable", so I expect more cheating.

As proven in prior stolen elections in Olympia, they find the votes they need after the fact, and then shut down any investigation.

The bright side of losing. If Patty Murray loses, the overall IQ of Senate Democrats goes up a few points.

Your previous predictions failed. I never saw where you followed through with our bet.

It’s pretty funny that you are to the left of Nate Silver on your prediction.

Take your pick. Defeatism. Trolling. Trying to tamp down any excitement on our side. Or maybe he’s just one of those wannabe armchair pundits who wants to score internet points by being ‘right’ and just doesn’t care that doing so creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Or he could be just an idiot.

I know which one I’m going for.

Speaking of Washington state...

I’m hoping Joe Kent will unseat RINO Jaime Herrera-Beutler in district 3 and Loren Culp will unseat RINO Dan Newhouse in district 4.

Herrera-Beutler and Newhouse voted to impeach Trump. If one of them loses, I’ll be a happy man. If they both lose, I’ll be ecstatic.

Republicans can slowly have an impact in various blue areas, if they mount the right kinds of efforts.

When Obama took office, Arkansas had:
1 Dem governor
2 Dem US senators
3 of 4 Dem House seats
Dems in most upper level state offices

When Obama left office, Arkansas had:
1 Repub governor
2 Repub US senators
4 of 4 Repub House seats
Repubs in most upper level state offices

Most of the South was solid Dem for around 150 years following the Civil War. Now, most of the South is solid or definitely leaning Repub.

These 2 senate seats are possible ‘steal’ races where we win in a blue state. We really need the 4 winnable ones to be successful. I’m talking Az, Ga, NH, NV. Then we gotta keep the ones we have in Penn, WI. A 5th one is cause to be estatic.

Think: Murray is old and ugly. Tiffany has more than a sexy name.

Patty Murray has to be the dumbest woman in the Senate... oh wait... there’s Magpie Hirono and Pocahontas Warren, so scratch that.

The Washington Democrats have in all probability propositioned at least two misplaced ballot boxes along side Lake Washington’s floating bridge, so that a couple of hand -picked strollers, out for a walk, can look over the railing and find them just floating there.
