The result was millions of fatherless orphans and widows and widespread famine across Russia while Russian men (and women) indulged in homosexual orgies and transgender cross dressing.
The communists that destroyed Russia are now ruling the United States of America. Can you see it?
An excellent post. The history of Soviet Marxist — and officially atheist — strategy has been too log forgotten, and today’s “progressives” can only either be 1) utterly uninformed, 2) Marxists in camouflage, or 3) both.
I read a book called “Government House” about the first generation of Bolsheivks whom yielded power. As the article, there were Leftists who wanted to abolish the family, people would live in communal housing, and the state would raise the children. This was even too much for the Bolsheivk leadership and as the article stated these proposals were never implemented and the advocates were purged.
The serial show “The Last Czar” features Grigori Rasputin and his enormous sexual appetite in the years after he arrived in St. Petersburg in 1904.
Yes. I just finished reading “I Chose Freedom: The Personal and Political Life of a Soviet Official” by Victor Kravchenko written back in 1946, and he talks in depth about this.
They made divorce so easy that you could just say “I want a divorce” and it was done regardless of how it affected the other person.
Promiscuity and Adultery were societally accepted.
They did it to destroy the family unit...for obvious reasons.
This paragraph stands out:
Communism’s theoretical underpinnings go hand in hand with promiscuity. From the very beginning, communism has encouraged people to abandon divine teachings and reject tradition, overthrowing moral restraints and indulging in base urges, for the sake of revolution and liberation. By communist logic, social problems originally caused by the degeneration of human morality can be attributed to private ownership. Communism leads people to believe that if private property becomes public, people will not fight over it. However, even if all property were shared, people might still have conflicts over each other’s spouses. Therefore, utopian socialists openly advocate promiscuity and “free love” as the answer to sexual desire. That is a clear and simple explanation of one of the major evils of communism.
How sad.
In less than 30 years after the fall of the Soviets, Russia has returned to their Orthodox roots, strengthened the family, launched itself to be the 11th largest economy on earth, cast away hedonism and alcoholism and is a beckon to the Pro-Life movement.
In the early days of the revolution the marxists would kick families out of houses and assign a mix of strangers to live there. The co-ed occupation helped the rampant moral decline.
Yes.
It was interesting, and during the purges and years leading up to WWII, it became grindingly depressing...though still interesting.
Besides the promiscuity and freedom to divorce, the saddest thing was they way they turned every single citizen against each other, where even conversation had to be scrupulously guarded even during a family dinner.
The damned communists knew what they were doing there. It became an art form in East Germany, and is frightening today in Communist China, which is so far advanced beyond that.
The sexual revolution, and increased access to abortions, has been the best thing that could ever have happened to the lothario class.
I just read the entire article. That is an excellent, short essay describing the brief descent of the Soviets into family destruction and sexual revolution. Thanks for posting that.
The results in the USSR were shocking: “...by 1923, half of the children born in Moscow had been conceived out of wedlock, and many of them were abandoned in infancy.”
In my family genealogy research, I found my own grandmother conceived her first child out of wedlock in 1920 in Germany. They got married before the baby was born, though, unlike people in Moscow 800 miles to the east. Nihilism was understandably rampant in Germany after the horrors of WW I.
And here we are at the same destination in the USA in 2022 (except widespread abortion didn’t mean so many infants were abandoned as in Moscow).
A newborn was abandoned on a doorstep here in Coeur d’Alene just last week, though. That is a rarity.
Interesting web site worth exploring. Kind of a latter day “Soviet Life” culture magazine in digital format. I zoomed in on the Russian Cousine section.
War changed sex ratio more females less men women become more promiscuous
According to what metric? Russia has one of the highest abortion rates, the highest alcohol consumption and the lowest church attendance.
My understanding is the Soviets later changed course, probably during the Stalin years, and passed laws against homosexuality that stayed on the books until the end. They seem to have realized it wasn’t good for their society.
Right outta Bolshevik playbook. Let’s speed it up to 1991. Slow moving central planning takes a long time to realize their fatal errors. First, destroy Marxist indoctrination schools...

This destruction of societal norms, norms which have inherently been protective of the human race for millennia, are an inevitable target of leftist revolutionaries throughout history. The French Revolution included factions that wanted to eliminate private property ownership, they were atheists, they even rewrote the Julain Calendar to rename the days of the week and restart the year beginning with the start of the revolution. They are destroyers.
Xlnt book by Wendy Goldman. Title: Women, the state, and revolution.
Goes into chronicling the events in Leninist Russia and the incredibly sophomoric policies that were conjured up by policy wonks. Very reminiscent of today’s “woke” dummies
