Maybe. Infinitely large? I've even read that, though I don't see how that's possible!

I don't see how it could NOT be infinitely large. If it's not infinitely large, then it has a shape, which begs the question, "What's outside that shape?" Of course, most of it may be devoid of stars.

Minor point... Even if it is infinitely large it can have a shape. For instance, A sphere with an infinitely long spike, or spikes, on it.
