Opus Dei is the conservative group that Justice Amy Coney Barrett is a part of, and this is a stinging rebuke of her participating in the recent conservative opinions which go against everything that the Pope supports. The pope has fired a warning shot to all conservative Catholics. In doing so, he also retrospectively vindicates Martin Luther, who could see the church slipping away even then.
Opus Dei doesn’t push globohomo...
I was a devout Catholic from kindergarten, through first communion, to fourth grade in a Catholic school (in Rio). Then I dropped out when I was in the Navy, forward deployed, in the early 1070s until I moved here (south central Louisiana), in 2011. Organized the local church’s extensive library. Dropped out again a year and a half ago after I went to confession and was confronted with a priest with a huge chip on his shoulder. Don’t need that anymore and God understands why. I am now free to communicate with God on our own terms.
Good Father, please contact your nearest Eastern Orthodox bishop post haste about joining “The true Church”.
From Wiki: Josemaría Escrivá had a Jesuit priest as a spiritual director (Fr. Sánchez) at the time that he founded Opus Dei (1928ff.).[44] As a result, he apparently based some of the practices of Opus Dei on the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus,[45] such as: required manifestation of conscience to a superior, seeking prestigious people for membership, a military-style hierarchical authority structure,[46] and an emphasis on blind obedience as a means of efficiency in the apostolate.[47]
Nevertheless, the Superior-General of the Society of Jesus Fr. Wlodimir Ledóchowski (1866–1942) later told the Vatican he considered Opus Dei “very dangerous for the Church in Spain.” He described it as having a “secretive character” and saw “signs in it of a covert inclination to dominate the world with a form of Christian Masonry.”[48] In the 1950’s, some Jesuits told Italian parents of members of Opus Dei that their sons were being led to damnation. etc.
Responding to the headline alone, I now like Opus Dei.
“One wonders what Bannon’s relationship is to Opus Dei, the supremely patriarchal and sexist fascist order that was mightily supported by Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict. They love to go where the power lies and have eagerly infiltrated Fox News and other media as well as the CIA, FBI and Supreme Court, as I have documented in my book The Pope’s War.[6]”
They supported him to the max.
