That the majority of the council won’t call out violence and evil - shows that they are corrupt and themselves, evil.

Laws are no longer laws.
Laws are convenient ways to “get” some of the “bad people” while the “good people” can commit the same acts and avoid all prosecution.

I’m surprised actually. Lynchburg is (or was) one of the most conservative areas in VA

Lynchburg is an odd place. Liberty University, Lynchburg College (a track surrounded by a school) and a ghetto.

“if we started making a proclamation, a memorandum, an agreement or a statement on every single act of violence, it’s going to be somewhat challenging,”
...what’s “challenging” is your capacity to use your pea brain. This just leads to more violence. Worse violence. And the criminals know they can get away with it. Which I suppose is the idea.

They won’t condemn violence. Things like this make me think of Civil War coming is not that outlandish to predict anymore.

Conservative voters have been ignoring local and school board elections for decades. That’s how evil sneaks into power.

"The violence was horrible. We do not condone violence, but if we started making a proclamation, a memorandum, an agreement or a statement on every single act of violence, it's going to be somewhat challenging," Wilder said. I tend to agree. They should have more important things to do. The vandalism should be handled by cops finding and charging the perps and by the court punishing them.

The hypocrisy of the “prochoice” (actually proabort) side is astounding.
Only one choice can be made, only one choice is acceptable to them. How is that being prochoice.

The takeaway is that the Council majority approves of the vandalism. (perhaps they even participated.)

“Wilder said he believes there are other ways than this resolution to make statements about violence in the community.”
I don't suppose any reporter had the guts to pin him down on “the other ways” part of that sentence. When did people get so afraid of even condemning violent acts?
