I cut my cable years ago and gradually got rid of Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu as well. I absolutely do not miss any of it. With my Roku, I can usually find just about anything I would want. I might temporarily sign up for a service like Paramount Plus if I want to catch up on a show (like "Yellowstone"). But I watch very few shows these days and many of the older ones can be seen for free (with ads). Lot of free movies too. YouTube now has a lot of movies if you can put up with the ads.

I think ad supported TV is coming back as a business model with the difference being that you can choose to stream whatever you want on demand over the internet (as opposed to broadcast TV over the airwaves). This will allow advertisers access to very specific demographics which should create plenty of revenue to support content creators.

I still have Netflix and Amazon prime (I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon). I hate all the woke shows on Netflix and Amazon. I hope wokeness goes away soon.
