Anne Heche was involved in a wild crash in L.A. Friday, and has been taken away by ambulance in a stretcher.
The crash went down just after noon in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles. Witnesses tell TMZ, she was driving a blue Mini Cooper and crashed into the garage of an apartment complex. Residents of the apartment complex tried getting Anne out of the vehicle but she put the car in reverse and then sped off. A short time later, she crashed into a nearby home, igniting a fire. The fire was significant and engulfed the house.

She did. She married her cameraman, had at least one son with him before divorcing. IMDb shows two sons. Her filmography shows she's got at least one TV series in post-production, plus a few movies also in post-production, and one movie in pre-production, so it's not as if her career had faltered. Her IMDb biography says her father was a choir director who died of AIDS at the age of 45 in 1983. Heche claimed she was sexually abused by her father. She and her mother have been estranged because of it. Three of her four siblings are dead. She's exhibited some bizarre behavior over the years. I don't know how old her kids are. I hope their lives aren't anything like their mother's has been.
Hopefully she recovers and gets the help she needs. Definitely some psychological issues there.

Anne Heche drove into the corner of a GARAGE... fled the scene of the accident then DROVE into and THROUGH A HOME_ Catching herself, the home and car on fire. A crane was used to pull the wreckage out before they could get her out... severe burns but alive and awake at scene.

Okay, help me out here. The way I read the story is that it starts when she just plows into a garage. And then when other people become involved she hightails it out of there and runs into another house at which point the car bursts into flames.
Is that about right?

I thought Martin and Bernadette Peters were a couple at one time. He was previously married to British actress Victoria Tennant. He's been married to former The New Yorker writer Anne Stringfield since 2007. They have one daughter. His wife had a bit part in two episodes of the first season of "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu. She's shown as a cast member with photo, for the show's IMDb cast and crew section.
