NYC Mayor Eric Adams scrambles to house up to 600 migrant households in yet-to-be organized Midtown Manhattan facility by NEXT WEEK as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott continues to send busloads of people to the Big Apple

Mayor Eric Adams is planning to house up to 600 migrant households in a large midtown Manhattan facility by next week.

Adams launched plans to open the facility as Texas Governor Greg Abbott began sending busloads of immigrants from Mexico and South America to New York City.

The mayor has requested NYC's non-profit shelter operators to submit operating plans for the facility by Wednesday, noting it must be capable of housing 600 families and be operational by next Monday.

Meantime, Adams slammed Abbott for using 'innocent people as political pawns to manufacture a crisis' and said applauded the Big Apple for 'stepping up to fix it.'

He also called on President Joe Biden's Administration, saying NYC needs the 'federal government’s help,' including money and technical assistance, to house and provide for the migrants.

The Department of Homeless Services requested facility proposals last week, according to documents reviewed by The New York Post.

The agency has identified an unspecified building for the facility, but have allowed nonprofits to propose their own location as long as it remains in the midtown neighborhood.

Charities who submit proposals must be ready to start housing families by August 15.

Any selected contractors must be able to provide immigrants with 24/7 support services and Spanish-speaking staffers to aid the residents.

Midtown Manhattan! They’ll provide catered food to the residents from Cipriani, Aureole, and Capitol Grill, no doubt.

The numbers point to states other than Texas and Arizona following the same methodology of sending their illegal alien invaders to New York City.

Last night, the local news aired a sob story about the poor “migrants” who can’t get services now that they’ve arrived in NYC. One of the “migrants” whined, “We deserve a chance!” She’s only been here 24 hours and she’s already mastered the language of entitlement.

These illegal aliens have more preferential treatment than NYC own homegrown homeless?

WOW

Apparently “homeless” in NYC never existed before these 45 illegal aliens were dropped off on their doorstep....

You bring up a valid point....US homeless ought to be at the front. However, since a large majority are mentally ill or on drugs/booze...what do you think the outcome of this will be?

I’ll point this out too....none of the illegals were forced onto a bus. They were simply told, if you want a free ticket via a bus to NYC (with a bag meal), climb onboard.

Mayor Eric should be bussing the illegals in all by himself. That’s what a sactuary city is for.

No, it won’t.

NYC has been sending its homeless Upstate for a while now.

Three guesses where most of these will be going.

To MAGA red Upstate.

WTG, Abbott.

Figured a welcoming sanctuary city would have been a little more prepared to have some actual illegals showing up...

My guess is the previous ones just disappeared into whatever part of NY, out of sight out of mind. Now it’s front and center in the news!

Yes, heading up the Hudson Valley, it looks like all of Latin America has been re-settled there - and it isn’t a new phenomenon. Decades ago they were moving the imported underclass up there, to keep the lights on in areas that were losing their American populations due to lack of opportunity/anti-business climate. A lot of American welfare resettlement up there as well.

NYC actually has a law that all homeless have to be given shelter. Those living on the streets are hardcore addicts, mentally ill, and criminals who turn it down.

biden sent them to Texas in a deliberate attempt to turn Texas democrat. Sending them to New York is a fitting tribute to the decrepit old fool and his plans to destroy a once-great country.

NYC has been sending its homeless Upstate for a while now.

Homeless, yes but many of those towns welcomed illegal aliens to keep their towns from falling off the map. If they don't want them, the sheriff just needs to tell them, "you can get on the bus to New York City or I can lock you up; your choice".
