CHARLIE KIRK: YOU’RE ENTERING THE FINAL PHASE BEFORE VICTORY
human events ^ | 8/10/2022 | Charlie Kirk

Conservatives across America, and indeed, the entire Western world, have plenty of reason to embrace doom and gloom.

The entire world seems to be on fire. Long-held assumptions of Western liberalism like equality under the law, free speech, and even truth itself seem to be not only under attack, but completely falling apart. Cultural Marxists have weaponized concepts of gender and race against society, unleashing radical feminism, anti-white racism, and transgenderism against normal society. Basic morality and the value of life are under assault by postmodernism and anti-religious zealots. The seed of Western Civilization—Christianity—is in freefall in the United States.

The recent FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, the first such raid in our country’s 250-year history, seems to be the straw that broke the camel’s proverbial back. It serves as yet more proof (as if more was needed) that the “wise restraints that keep men free” have been completely unshackled inside the highest levels of our government as an unprecedented Rubicon has been crossed.

Our day-to-day lives seem to be getting worse too. The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns caused mental and emotional damage to school-aged kids that we haven’t even begun to address. Young people aren’t having families, or even getting jobs like they used to. Young men walking into public places to commit acts of mass slaughter is just taken as routine. We are visually assaulted by vile public sex parades and now, even young kids at school are sexualized in the classroom and in public libraries. Parents take their children to drag queen shows. The streets are full of homeless people openly taking drugs. Rioters destroy cities and kill people like clockwork every few years.

More quietly, millions of people are enslaved to the hedonism of secular life, using alcohol, prescription medication, social media, and pornography to distract from the meaninglessness they’ve constructed around themselves. Who can blame a conservative for feeling dejected when looking at all this? America is a dark place right now.

But perhaps we have reason to be hopeful. More reason than you think. Indeed, I feel that the current darkness we’re seeing has a purpose.

For we are entering the final phase before victory–victory over the forces of leftism and totalitarian control, “The Fourth Turning” if you will.

If you can, imagine America at the turn of the millennium. Old foes like the Soviet Union were in tatters. The economy was good. Neoliberalism was dominant. Republican George W. Bush won the presidency that year, ending the Democratic dominance of the White House that characterized much of the 1990s. Conservatives had plenty to be happy about. Of course, there were some who warned us that America was still on the wrong path. Patrick Buchanan, in his 1996 “Culture War” speech and beyond, told us that America was on the wrong path. But most conservatives never picked up on this.

The Bush presidency, of course, turned out to be a major disaster. The War on Terror created a wide-ranging security state that is now being used to target domestic opposition to the regime. The 2003 invasion of Iraq was an epic blunder, and the invasion of Afghanistan, though justified, was dragged out for far too long with no clear, winnable objective. All of it culminated in the financial crisis.

The disasters of the Bush years delivered virtually one-party rule in 2009, with the presidency of Barack Obama. The Tea Party movement provided substantive resistance to the overreach of Obama, but too many Americans, conservatives included, were still caught up in the idea that they were dealing with the same old Democrats that had been around forever. Democrats themselves even invited these comparisons, championing the late Ted Kennedy in their push for Obamacare. As a result, no candidate in the 2012 race was really able to embody or channel the anger of the Tea Party and we were left with Mitt Romney.

President Obama himself provided a nice cover for more insidious far-left ideologies. At the time of Obama’s election, things like transgenderism, pronouns, “white privilege,” safe spaces, CRT, and trigger warnings weren’t concepts that average Americans were even aware of. There was no Black Lives Matter or Antifa. Obama himself was still against gay marriage at the start of his presidency. That’s not to say that there were no culture war issues–there were. But wild left-wing ideas about society had not yet migrated off of college campuses. Things were still somewhat “normal.”

Over the eight years of the Obama presidency, all of the ideas listed above would explode into public consciousness and eventually come to dominate national conversation. This phenomenon, dubbed by some as the “Great Awokening,” has shocked many Americans and caused a sense of whiplash among many people who formerly thought of themselves liberal. As Elon Musk said, he voted for Democrats throughout his life because they were the “kindness party,” but he no longer sees them this way. Instead, Musk said, he sees Democrats as “the party of division & hate.” Indeed.

But what is behind the massive and rapid spread of these divisive ideas? What caused the Great Awokening that has so corroded our public discourse and corrupted our institutions?

It’s simple: liberals got too confident. They got overly confident for two reasons: completely ineffectual “conservative” opposition, and their own theories about demographic change.

First, there was the complete lack of real, right-wing opposition to the ongoing leftist crusade against Western Civilization. Who can blame the left for getting cocky about their chances of victory when their opposition was John McCain and Mitt Romney?

It took a real right-wing opposition candidate in the form of Donald Trump in order to not only confront the left, but also to force leftists from their hiding places. Trump in many ways shined a spotlight on the left, and by engaging in his own bombastic rhetoric, pushed the left into revealing the truth of their intentions. Finally, normal Americans could see what a small band of brave conservatives has long known to be true: these aren’t just nice liberals who want society to be fairer. These are individuals who want to fundamentally transform America (read destroy America) and will use cultural Marxism and intersectionality to do it.

There was also an overconfidence derived from leftists’ belief that demographic change would produce permanent liberal majorities in America. The idea was that “demographics were destiny” and that as America became less white, it would inherently become more leftist. Indeed, many leftists openly talked about how white conservatives were literally dying off and that this would result in one-party rule. This is not replacement theory, this is their own words spoken brazenly on some of the most high-profile talk shows in America.

They believed that by replacing the population through immigration (both legal and illegal), they could create a new electorate that would deliver them into a new American era of permanent progressive power. Anyone who observed this attempt by the left to remake the electorate was deemed a “racist” who believed in a “conspiracy theory.”

But a funny thing is happening—many of these immigrant communities don’t even like the left very much. Many Latino Americans largely reject wokeness, support law and order, and dislike socialism. Asian-Americans are similarly feeling the crush of intersectionality and wokeness by racist caps on their admissions into elite schools, and the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes in Democrat-run cities.

The left was so full of hubris and arrogance that they believed they had already won. They thought that leftist victory was baked into the new multi-ethnic America electorate and the power of the rainbow coalition. But in their arrogance, they overstepped. They boiled the frog too quickly, and people are sick of it.

That’s why they must turn to authoritarianism–because they’ve lost the people. That’s why they send the FBI and the entire deep state to surveil and arrest us. That’s why they used COVID to shut down America. That’s why they censor us on big tech platforms. That’s why they want to take our guns. That’s why they want to criminalize speech. And that’s why they raided Donald Trump’s personal home.

It’s all because their insanity has been exposed. Now, they can only win by coercion and force.

This is the final stage. Now that they realize they’ve lost the people, they mandate the people.

Make no mistake–things will get worse before they get better. But they’re only doing this because it’s their last-ditch attempt to hold on to power. They can only win through coercion. This is the final point in the war between leftists and Western Civilization that has dominated American politics since the end of the Cold War.

Don’t let these raids intimidate you. This is the final stage before victory. Don’t stop fighting. In the end, we win.

I don’t buy that excuse about the national security acts after 9/11 being responsible for the raid or the spying. A left-wing FISA court approved the spying for example.

I would like to believe him….but meanwhile we are sitting ducks waiting for the soon to be newly hired IRS sharp shooters to find us.

(Obama himself was still against gay marriage at the start of his presidency.)

I was never fooled by his intentions. So many bought in to the hype.

Yep

(Parents take their kids to drag queen shows)

I can’t imagine what’s wrong with these parents except that they have turned Godless.

Charlie Kirk was anti-Trump before he was pro-Trump.

There is so much misinformation dribbled in among boomercon talking points.

Lot of conservatives did fight the culture wars. Phyllis Schlafly killed the ERA. The Moral Majority held back the gay lobby for a while. The Christian Coalition gave us DOMA. The continuing actions of the Pro-Life lobby eventually resulted in the overturning of Roe v Wade.

It's interesting that Kirk has only positive attitudes toward Buchanan and Trump. They are both populist conservatives, which isn't the majority position among conservatives, or at least it wasn't through much of the history of America since the end of WWII.

Instead we got right libertarianism, neoconservatism, social conservatism, and military-industrial-complex conservatism. Libertarianism turns a blind eye to illegal immigration and the offshoring of jobs to the Turd World. Neoconservatism gave us endless useless wars. Social conservatism demanded prudish and narrowminded candidates who could at best win only congressional elections. MIC conservatism only enabled the neoconservatives.

The Tea Party was the beginning of the turn toward populism, but it was dragged down by the libertarians and social conservatives who rode its coattails.

But there is no certainty that populism will survive long. Populism has always been feared by the left and the other conservative factions to devolve into racism, anti-Semitism, and xenophobia. There is also the weakness of populism in that it requires a popular and charismatic leader to energize enough people to rally around the cause. Trump is definitely that leader, but who will it be when he leaves the stage?

That bill was just passed, it's going to take years, if not decades, to hire and train the "87,000". These people will be trained by the managers that have helped make the IRS the least liked federal agency to work for. The training will be disrupted by federal holidays and vacations, too.

I call that legislation "The Tax Accountant Employment Act of 2022."

I have no doubts these hires will be based on diversity as the primary qualification. IOW, the IRS will be hiring people with minimal math skills, and their technology skills come from playing Call of Duty on a computer. They'll likely be started out at GS-7, and the IRS is noted for slow promotions.

Contrast that to the FDIC, who ramped up hiring during the bank crisis in 2008. Their hires were on two-year term contracts, with an FDIC option for two more. Due to my lack of banking experience, I had to apply for a GS-7 position to get my foot in the door.

I wasn't a 7 for long. Within 10 months I was a GS-13, and on the selection list for a GS-14. Thanks to those promotions, I worked there for nearly 5 years, and those were all great years.

If I could have landed a permanent position, I'd still be there...great agency, good people and leadership.

Nice to hear your history….

….but it’s not calming

From what we’re experiencing by ‘those who rule by intimidation and harm’….
…we should expect…soon…that they will have ( or already has) unprincipled, trained marksmen ready to take these positions ….and use them on…..us!

Apparently there are so many boomers still working at the IRS that within 5 years, they will retire. These are their replacement. Keep in mind the 87,000 isn’t fully implemented until 2030.

Sorry, but the leftists win this battle. America doesn’t stand a chance. Its prophecy. God wins in the end, but we’re on the road to one world government.

You sure dislike social conservatism, Reagan, the Tea Party which was actually made up of social conservatives, not social liberals like you social liberals kept trying to claim, you left out that libertarianism is radical social liberalism.

The difference between California and Texas and why GOP California fell so easily to the left and why Democrat Texas only became more conservative, is that California Republicans were social liberals and had little to fight the left with, while Texas social conservative democrats became right wing republicans.

Social conservatism is the measure of durability against liberal seductions, social liberalism is McCain/Romney.

The Tea Party was started as a "good government" party. They focused on protecting the border, limiting government largesse, and bringing the deficit/debt under control.

It was not about preventing gay marriage, criminalizing abortion, etc. It only became that later when all of the socon associations like the Moral Majority and Christian Coalition petered out and the socons joined the only standing conservative organization.

Regardless of what Reagan was, his administration was thoroughly neoconservative. You can read about the wars between paleoconservatives and neoconservatives trying to control the agenda of the Reagan administration, and the neocons ultimately prevailing.

Reagan might have agreed with Russell Kirk, but his administration didn't.

Even today many socons refuse to support Trump because he had three wives and is not a prudish, narrowminded, fundamentalist Christian.

The socons might be correct on many policies, but they have a bad habit of supporting candidates who have little appeal, and if they ever do achieve some level of political success those candidates eventually say something that horrifies the general public or are outed as a having a mistress or being a secret homosexual.

because they’ve lost the people.

I don’t think the left ever had the people. It appears that way because they control the media and academia, exposing the country to nothing but non-stop leftist ideas. Throw in the dems chicanery of compromising our election system to give themselves the edge at the polls, and they have the appearance of being the majority.

Then you obviously missed his point. The National Security Acts should never have been passed since any Acts approved by the Govt. can and will be abused by the very govt. that approved it.

It is social liberals who keep the left gaining control over America and who are the weakest republicans and who lost us California.

Reagan won because social conservatives knew he was one also, whereas pro-abortion Carter proved to be not one.

The Tea Party was made up mostly of social conservatives.

Pew Research: “Support for the Tea Party varies dramatically across religious groups. Surveys from November 2010 through February 2011 show that white evangelical Protestants are roughly five times as likely to agree with the movement as to disagree with it (44% vs. 8%), though substantial numbers of white evangelicals either have no opinion or have not heard of the movement (48%). Three-in-ten or more of white Catholics (33%) and white mainline Protestants (30%) also agree with the Tea Party, but among these two groups at least one-in-five people disagrees with the movement.

Among the unaffiliated, more than four-in-ten (42%) disagree with the movement while 15% agree with it. About two-thirds of atheists and agnostics (67%) disagree with the movement.

The Patriot Act and AUMF weren’t abused at the time. The CIA and FBI had a wall between them leading to the 9/11 attack. These are people leftover from the Obama Admin who want to stop Trump.
