MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) - The Horry County Republican Party recently voted to censure Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) over his vote on a bipartisan gun reform bill in June.

A censure is a motion to strongly disapprove or denounce a lawmaker’s vote.

The party unanimously passed a resolution during an Aug. 1 meeting which claims Graham “enables a radical left cultural Marxist agenda and the weakening of the Republican brand and the tarnishing the ideals of freedom, rule of law, and the preservation of constitutional rights.”

Graham was one of 15 Republican senators who voted in favor of the bill, known commonly as the Safer Communities Act, which provides tougher background checks for younger prospective gun buyers, measures to keep firearms from domestic violence offenders and help states establish red flag laws.

The vote came in response to a pair of mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, and at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas back in May.

Should have thrown him out in 2014 after his THIRD amnesty vote.

Instead they have re-elected him TWICE more.

What about linda’s support for denying Jan 6th protested basic constitutional rights? That’s what he should be sanctioned for, if anything. And his little dog rubio too.

“Reform” my ass.

Heck, they cannot even ‘reform’ most criminals - how they hell do they expect to ‘reform’ guns?

“Instead they have re-elected him TWICE more.”

Makes me wonder who he was running against?

When the primary comes up there are several challengers so it fragments the opposition vote against him. He always ends up with enough to stay the nominee. The Rat running against him is always crazy so he gets in because the Rat choice is magnitudes worse. The time to stop him is in the primary.

South Carolina needs to get rid of their Senators, esp Graham.

I live in NC and we are trying to get rid of ours as well

Publicly announce that he is persona non grata along the Grand Strand.

And even if it’s just symbolic, start a petition demanding that he resign his seat in the Senate.

Then again, these are the same Republicans that are allowing so much massive over development in that area that it’s destroying the place.

Open primaries.

And the RNC and state GOP machine taking out any challengers.

Then it’s all about…..If you don’t vote for Graham the Democrat will win.

If our legislature would grow some balls and close the primaries, Graham would not survive his next primary. He totally relies on rats crossing over during the primary to vote for him.

The “Opposition” needs to organize around one candidate.
Also, the “Opposition” needs to start taking over the party starting at the precinct level working up. Voting out the “Old Bulls” both in the party organization and in the county commissions, sheriff offices, and state legislature. It’s being done elsewhere it can be done in SC. It takes time, focus and persistence. It will not happen on its own or overnight.
