1 TABLESPOON (13 grams) of White Sugar has 49 calories.
It's not worth the risk to use 'artificial' stuff, unless it's medically necessary..............

My insulin resistance isn’t weight related.
I like sucralose but have no illusions that I can use sugar substitutes and eat carbs too. It’s the people who do that who have real weight problems.

1 TABLESPOON (13 grams) of White Sugar has 49 calories. Rarely enough. :-)

“stick with stevia.”
I prefer the also-harmless aspartame (Equal, blue packet) which is becoming less common.
To me it tastes the most like sugar. It is used in most of the no-calorie soft drinks.

Never trust anything artificial when natural is available.

Never used sugar on my coffee the last 30 plus years. I drink mine black. Not even milk.

For what it may be worth...
I have regarded all forms of artificial sweeteners as bad, and have avoided cane sugar — “Coke”, donutz, candy — as much as possible.
I have never avoided sugar in oranges or other fruits.
(Shame — I love a painfully cold Coke or anything with dark chocolate... But: so be it.)
I refuse to provide or serve “diet” soda when people ask. They think I’m a pain in the butt cranky pants — but when they bitch I refuse to serve what I truly believe is slow poison; should I do differently, I ask them? Want a nice glass of cold poison? They usually drop it at that point.
I knew a guy who was well over 350 pounds who enjoyed twice a day as his break-snack, two jelly donuts and a diet Pepsi.
He’s dead now at age 41.

I use stevia. Grow a big patch of it in my garden.
Never was a big sugar addict, except dark brown sugar on oatmeal.
To: Red Badger
Mostly use stevia or monkfruit.
Last little bit is a dash of sugar. Makes it taste like the entire thing was made with sugar.
Everywhere I can cut out something to keep my clothes from shrinking gets used.

It’s the same thing as nutrisweet, though, and studies have shown it contributes to weight gain. Also, it messes with our brains.
To: Red Badger
I don't eat that either.
