More than ever we need a consumption tax to replace all other forms of taxes except import tariffs. The IRS has long been weaponized and they are doubling the size of their army. It all boils down to the type of person who would work for the IRS. There are a world of careers available, so what type of person chooses to work for the IRS?
We just need states to collect a national sales tax with state sales taxes. The states transfer collection to the US Treasury. No more IRS. Finally, lazy ass government employees standing in the unemployment line.

Is it $400,000 gross? A small business might have $400,000 gross to make $20,000 profit. Then they will have to pay for a tax attorney.
This will be very disruptive.

These resources are absolutely not about increasing audit scrutiny on small business or middle-income Americans. That tears it ... now we know, for sure, that they're planning to harass, bother, and PROSECUTE normal peaceable citizens and their businesses.

The IRS should be a footnote in history
People have no idea how deviant this scheme is. If we are supposed to be capitalist (I know we aren’t really capitalist, and drift further every day) wtf kind of taxation scheme confiscates large swaths your capital before you even see it? Such malignant deviancy leads to:
govt knowing every asset you own
govt knowing every place you spend money
govt being able to cripple you with tax audits carrying possible prison time
govt being able to tax you for your neighbor’s benefit
govt being able to grow out of control
being forced into the arms of central bankers, thus paying interest to borrow what you could not save from confiscation by govt.
The Us gov mt was intended to be funded by tariffs- which is where DJT was going, and is partly why he is where he is now!
