On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, why did former AG Bill Barr stay with the Trump Administration as long as he did if Trump was as bad as he said he was? Barr erroneously assumes that the appointment of a Special Master for the FBI raid is a red herring when the issue at hand is the protection of privilege or one’s fourth amendment right. If privilege simply didn’t matter then it wouldn’t be part of the Presidential Records Act.

Levin shredded Barr last night. Said he used to like him (I remember hearing that) but no more.
Barr is a treasonous rat. He plays both side of the fence. A wishy-washy devil. Not a truthful human being.
He (Barr) couldn’t be more off. Because you’re making an awfully big assumption. There could be privileged documents there. Attorney client privileged. There could be attorney work product there. There could be confidential communications that have absolutely nothing to do with attornies. And other private papers. And you’re assumption is the government will make the final choice and the only choice. No. One reason you would have a spcial master there is to go over what the government did segregate. It is not a red herring. And because the government said it’s finished and now it’s moving on to an itelligence review, eventhough they knew this judge was partial to the appointment of a special master, doesn’t mean everybody else should be a rush to finish it up either. What is the hurry here? But that’s a red herring you see, protecting somebody’s privilege.

One strong possibility is Bill Barr was always a liar and a weasel.
He may have taken the job as a way to get inside the Trump administration, undercut it, and act as a blocker for any effective action against those working to get rid of Trump.
His actions show he was very effective at undercutting the administration and blocking action against those working hard to get rid of President Trump.
How about … so he could filter info to the FBI? Their own trained, bagpipe playing mole.

Well, longer than this. Longer than this. You have no idea, when that attorney signed that certification, first of all, that attorney did not certify to personal knowledge. Remember that, Mr. Producer? I read the first sentence. But that is a "fine" point for the attorney anway. But secondly why do you assume that that was intentional? You yourself just said they had documents mixed in with other stuff and so forth. And maybe that's why they needed more time. They don't have the staff of the DOJ and the FBI. But again it's your assumption that something crooked was done here, that they are being jerked around. It's called a negotiation. - Levin

uhhhhhh, I can't think of a legitimate reason they should be taken out of the government, away from the government, if they are classified, quite frankly. I am skeptical of his claim that I declassified everything. You know because it is highly improbable, if he sort of stood over scores of boxes not knowing what is in them and said I hearby declssify in here that would be such a abuse, uhhhhh and that uhhhh shows such recklessness, almost worst than taking the documents. - Barr
You see, he is trying to get even. He has become unhinged. It is obsessive. So I have a question for Attorney General Barr who listens to this program from time to time and you are free to call in sir.
When you were Attorney General of the United States and you were Attorney General twice but let's go for the second time.
When you were Attorney General under Donald Trump, did you ever take classified information and read it in your car while you were being chaufered from here to there. Did you? That's a violation of the Espionage Act. Did you ever take home classified information to read it, just to review it say overnight, maybe over lunch, maybe over the weekend because you wanted to bone up on whatever was being provided? Did you ever do that? That's a violation of the Espionage Act. That's not a secured place and you know it.
If you were to testify under oath, perhaps in front of a grand jury to whether you had ever done that Mr. Barr, what would you testify? And what about your drivers and your security detail and your staff and others if they were put under oath and forced to testify under a federal grand jury, would any of them ever say they ever saw you with any classified information outside of a government determined safe place? What would they say? Doesn't matter if there's tons of classified documents. It could be one page. Because, ladies and gentlemen, there are classified documents and there are classified documents. The amount isn't really the issue, the substance is the issue as far as I am concerned.
So for Bill Barr the special master is a red herring, Trump caused this because of all the documents he took, that he was jerking around the FBI, he didn't need to negoiate anymore and there was absoultely no reason why he had these materials at Maralago. And Bill Barr doesn't know if some of these things were packed up by the GSA or somebody else. He doesn't have an idea. None of us do. But it doesn't matter (to Bill.) More likely Barr was a get along to go along type and go along to get long type of beurocratic person. But Trump doesn’t care about getting along to go along and wants things done now. Barr says he can’t do what Trump wants, “you don’t understand how things work.” But is Barr who doesn’t understand and gets nothing done. He gets fired or resigns depending on what source you want to read. So in the end Barr is disgruntled and becomes a nevertrumper trying to get even.
