On the 9th of September 2001 British army major Charles Ingram got into the hot seat on ITV's biggest game show "who wants to be a millionaire".
After winning the jackpot of £1,000,000, he was arrested alongside his wife Diana and fellow contestant Tecwen Whittock on a charge of "procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception".
It was alleged by the shows producers that Major Ingram had cheated his way to the top prize by listening for carefully placed coughs by both his wife Diana and fellow contestant Tecwen Whittock.
