She would be required to be questioned by the appropriate committee of the Senate. She would be placed under oath when she does so. The door to questions regarding Jan 6 would be open.

I had to look it up. Minority members of the Foreign Relations committee include: Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz.

Do you think that the Republicans in the Senate would have the gonads to actually bring it up?
I suspect that the leadership would want all the questions that their members intend to ask submitted before hand. I doubt that McConnel would want that subject breached.

I think confirmation could be accomplished in a lame duck session. Dems would still control the Senate, and she could hold her seat until January.
