Many sodas have too much CO2 added.

I don’t drink much soda because I typically regret doing so afterward.

You know, it’s fine to drink beer with the natural amount of carbonation from fermentation. It might even be preferable.

This is why I drink whiskey.

Beer is for daytime, while grilling or football games. Whiskey is the after sundown drink.

This is good for those who can make their own.

Now if they had been following the strict German beer purity laws, there would be no need to add CO2 to the beer...

I tried an IPA carbonated with argon once. Very smooth texture and flavor. And of course they can always toss in a little corn sugar and wait a few days for natural carbonation.

Not being a beer drinker, I can ask, why not just ship the beer without adding extra CO2?

They could, easily, but Americans wouldn’t accept it.
We have become used to high CO2 content beers................

You might be thinking of bottle conditioned beer.

I don’t know if those are even sold in the US anymore.

They continue fermenting after bottling and require different storage conditions from most beers.

Mr. Mew loved Morland’s Hen’s Tooth, but that was discontinued years ago.

I don’t think he’s had a bottle conditioned beer that he hasn’t made since then.

I’m beginning to think all these “looming shortages” are simply clever marking....
