It’s been like 23 years since we bombed the crap out of Serbia. At the time, all I saw was an insurrection taking place in Serbia (Kosovo), so we bombed them. I didn’t know why at the time, and I still do not know. I guess the West no longer even has to justify these ‘actions’. Virtually every claim back then has since been debunked.
And the thing is, I get it during the Cold War, it was us or the Soviets, so we often had to get in bed with people who didn’t quite meet Mother Teresa standards. I really didn’t want to see us lose the Cold War.
But until very recently when China started moving out, what, exactly, is our interest in destroying countries?
Watch this Duran episode. It is discomforting, but provides the answer to your question.
The U.S. is a colonizer. We find countries that offer useful opportunities for us and we exacerbate or create conflict. We “settle” the conflict (I believe you described it as “we bombed the crap out of Serbia”) and then we move in and literally run things for our benefit.
We control what Americans or Westerners get to see and an accommodating media makes sure that continues. We demonize the so-called “bad guys” and heroize the “good guys” (which are whomever we are siding with.) Though years later books come out and give the full, accurate picture. But, fortunately hardly anyone sees those books and its too late anyway.
The program draws sharp parallels with the current Ukraine/Russia situation.
The lights first came on for me when I read (and then later investigated because I could not believe the info he provided) Travis’s post that there are 750 United States military bases in 80 countries.
Kind of have to laugh when the U.S. accuses others of “interfering.”
The United States for 30 years now has ruled the world. We have enforced our vision and reduced to irrelevance any nation that disagreed.
Much of the world has crumbled, but almost everyone realizes we are better masters than the Russians or Chinese would be.
