Just like Rochester, Minnesota Grand Forks, North Dakota has an old, closed-up K-Mart. Well, a _-Mart for now because the giant K is missing from the building. It's not lost though. It's in Hope Church Pastor Paul Knight's front yard.
Why Is There A Giant K-Mart K In His Front Yard? That is a really good question. The Grand Forks Herald dug into it and here's what we know.
It appeared on his lawn Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, while it was dark or before he was awake. Does he know who did it or why? Nope. Not a clue...officially. He told the GFH it might have been put there by someone in his church.
"I don't know who to call, cuz I don't know who put it up," Pastor Knight said. "So I am kind of making a general announcement: the people who are responsible for this, you're welcome to remove it anytime. My wife hopes it's gone by June, I think."
Why is his garage on the side of the house like that? I’ve never seen that kind of thing garage arrangement.
Not mentioned if the pastor has any teenage children.
Seems like a teenager prank.
It is a pretty common house design.
October 8th and you have that much snow? I would think global warming couldn’t come fast enough in Grand Forks...
You omitted the date: March, 14, 2023
Corner lot.
I was more concerned with the snow than the K-Mart sign. Then I noticed the article is from March of this year.
Corner house. My first one was similar with the address facing one street and the garage facing another.

It’s great for corner lots. I hate having garage doors out front. Everyone can tell if you accidentally leave it open.
There’s still some logistical efforts there that would be hard for most teenagers.
I think he means the garage is facing a different street than the house.
My guess, members of his church youth group pranking their pastor.
K = Knight.
Probably teens thinking something is funny when it’s really not.
Corner lot, so access to roadway from side of house.
BACK To the Future!
As a kid in the 60s we did stuff similar but not on this scale.
I think you meant 2022.
It’s from the future?...
