Since we've had almost 1 Million 'gotaways' cross the border and some are terrorists, if anything major happens in 2023 the 'Rats will blame the new GOP Congress because they've called for "defunding" FBI and other intelligence agencies.
I know GOP advisors read FR, they need to prepare a response. It is Rat policies that endanger the United States, not MAGA. It's bad enough we will get handed a train-wreck economy we'll be "blamed" for as we attempt to right the ship. They will also try to pin any serious terrorist incidents on us.....
I don’t see any problem in taking internal/external terrorism, and separating it...putting this new headquarters somewhere way outside of DC. Same way for that science crime lab in Huntsville....that could be a totally separate group.

The Ras and their pals in the media are going to blame the GOP for anything and everything that goes wrong going forward. That’s a given.
The GOP needs to grow a spine and focus on accountability and un-do as much of the Democrat damage that they can.
They need to do the right thing instead of being fearful of criticism. Unfortunately the party’s track record does little to inspire confidence that they will.
The party simply lacks the will the fight for what’s right.
It’s hard for me to picture any modern politician getting rid of any alphabet agency or even reducing their budgets in the era of the 24 news cycle and media disaster porn. Our dumb screen culture society has become conditioned to be 100% risk adverse. No one wants to be the pol who cut the security budget and is then invariably blamed when something terrible happens...or is allowed to happen.

The radical Democrats and feckless Republicans have already done enormous and lasting damage to this country. The very spirit that once made this country so great has been crushed by decades of corruption, lawlessness, and venal politicians in both parties.
People expecting a GOP congress to quickly turn the country around are going to be very disappointed.

Agree 100%. But the GOP will not allow that to happen. It is a party of appeasement and lacks any will to fight for the conservative agenda.
The only people it fights against are those who want to change the party in some positive way. Then they fire the cannons against you.
Trust me, its the party apparatus that we’re up against and they’re very good at stifling any movements against the status quo. Its going to be extremely difficult to change the direction of an unresponsive and ossified party.
The FBI budget is supposedly around 9 billion with 35,000 or so employees they deign to admit having. Can’t really see anything happening to it at this point. That’s a 9 billion dollar dug in tick that knows a bunch of dirty laundry with lots of folks willing to go to the mat to keep it dug in and sucking.
It was probably too late 75+ years ago to do anything about any of the alphabet agencies, which basically function as guardians of the bureaucratic establishment empire in DC in order to keep themselves and their families fed and living well for generations.

I salute you for unselfishly serving in that role. I’m sure its no picnic.
The GOP doesn’t seem to know what to do with a majority when they get it. Their rhetoric doesn’t often translate into real effort and results. This is how a lot of voters perceive the GOP (all talk, no fight).
Its time for the party to set out clearly defined goals/objectives and demonstrate tangible evidence of effort to achieve them. Nobody expects miracles, but they do expect an honest effort to follow through on campaign promises, like Trump did.
Produce results and the voters will reward the party. Simple as that.
