I looked up accessory after the fact in that state and the statue of limitations.
It looks like it is an aggravated misdemeanor with a three year statue, but then there all sorts of exceptions making the limit potentially 10 years. I really can’t follow it.
He died 10 years ago. So I think she talked to a lawyer and then waited until she was absolutely safe and came forward.
