The 1859 event was NOT a “major” event. It was 80X LESS powerful than the events they are describing. The last Big One was AD 774

Maybe they're a good thing. The climate in the last 11,000 years has been relatively stable and loads better the preceding glacial era.

The article says every 1000 years or so, then it says they occurred in the years 7176 B.C., 5410 B.C., 5259 B.C., 660 B.C., A.D. 774 and A.D. 993..

If my math is correct, that’s not every 1000 years or so - that’s very irregular intervals of 1766, 151, 4599, 1434, and 219.

So we can safely assume it will happen in 5000 years, tomorrow, never, or any time in between.
