Most of my relatives are from Philly. A terrible place to visit, particularly up Germantown Avenue where they used to live.
I used to pull a lot of meat to the Philly area, around Packer Ave. Spent too many nights at the Walt Whitman truck stop, the worst in the country. Any time the Phillies or Eagles were playing they would chase all the trucks out and sell parking to people going to the game. And how bad is an area when the pimps have to escort the Lot Lizards IN the truck stop?
My last trip I didn’t lose anything there so no reason for this country boy to go back.
