I hope you're wrong. While the Democrats held on to "toss up" seats, they lost seats they weren't expecting to lose. It is very possible that the Republicans will take the House.

And they are withholding the election results everywhere to try to steal more seats. The end result is a lesser Congressional Republican majority and fewer new Republican members who would vote for new leadership in Congress.

Assuming they don't follow the plan to name Trump Speaker and then finally challenge the 2020 Big Steal, they certainly have better options than McCarthy. For PR purposes, naming a competent female, also has merit.
