Taylor Sheridan, creator of "Yellowstone," is responding to critics who suggest the series is "anti-woke."
"They refer to it as ‘the conservative show’…‘the Republican show’ or ‘the red-state ‘Game of Thrones,’ " Sheridan said during an interview with The Atlantic.
"And I just sit back laughing. I’m like, ‘Really?’ The show’s talking about the displacement of Native Americans and the way Native American women were treated…about corporate greed…the gentrification of the West, and land-grabbing. That’s a red-state show?"

You were warned decades ago that once you cave to the Left, it is not possible to grovel sufficiently.
Bus station or train station?
We turned it off 15 min into the first episode of season 1. Went back to it about three months later. Haven’t missed an episode. The show evolves over the seasons as do the characters. We like it. Taylor had better watch his mouth though. Dems don’t have the market cornered on cancel culture.
Looking forward to it. One of the best series made in years
Absolutely YES on watching. Did you watch and like The Sopranos. If so, think Soprano’s in Montana. The scenery is absolutely amazing.
However.....back to my point.....about corporate greed…the gentrification of the West, and land-grabbing
Corporate greed.....hedge funds, corporations, foreign investors.
Gentrification of the West....places like Boise, Bozeman, Kalispel, Missoula, and lots of other places, experiencing massive influxes of liberals from the West Coast. I sent this to a friend that lives in Idaho after reading about the hottest housing markets in the US...
10. Boise, Idaho
A pressure cooker housing market
Forecast home price change by May 2022: 23.3%
Local professional: Suzi Boyle, loan specialist and branch manager at Castle & Cooke Mortgage
What makes the Boise market poised for growth?
“We’ve had this kind of crazy market since 2016 but it didn’t get national attention. A healthy real estate market has four-to-six months of inventory. We haven’t had four months of inventory since 2014. I have 72 pre-approved ready-to-go buyers that have been trying all year to find a home. There’s no supply, unless you’re willing to wait eight months for a custom build job. It’s become a pressure cooker market, because it’s 35% cash buyers.
“We do have a lot of tech people that commute to Silicon Valley, finance people that commute to LA and aerospace and biotech that commute to San Diego. In addition to all that, we have a lot of California retirees coming here. People like the climate, it’s a good place to raise kids, we have really low crime, we have 52 wineries in the Treasure Valley and everybody can afford to golf and ski here.”
Old time Boise folks are being run out of their homes due to property tax increase. https://www.idahostatesman.com/news/local/community/boise/article232986907.html
If there was one thing that the people of California ever got right, it was the freeze on property taxes that allows people to stay in their homes and not get crushed.
Land Grabbing....guys like Gates buying up farm land everywhere. Who do you think owns all those $10-20-30million dollar ranches? The Wall St/hedge fund guys. The finance folks that snatch up everything, wear some flannel and some Ariats and they’re all Rip.
So, once again, more proof that the Left and it’s willing cohorts destroy everything
I think they’re saying that it’s “anti-woke” because there are not enough homosexuals, lesbians, transvestites and child molesters.
I have to look past Kevin Costner being a socialist.
But, it’s probably one of, if not the best series I’ve ever seen. Lots of “hide your wives, hide your children” language. Easy to get hooked from the very first episode. It’s available on Paramount Network, either via cable, satellite or (for a fee) online streaming. If you can get that channel and have the previous seasons (1 thru 4), I’d strongly recommend bing watching them.
It is that good . . .
Don’t forget anti white rhetoric.
It's about a family willing to do what it takes to keep control of their land and political landscape in Montana. And, I mean anything.
Sounds like he thinks that people in “red” states are in favor of about corporate greed, the gentrification of the West, and land-grabbing.
Sheridan is keeping all his shows “Woke”. Hell, he had two of the biggest lefties in Nashville star in his first spinoff.
But...I assume the Dutton family is Republican. They are certainly fierce defenders of property rights, including when faced with green freaks that try to threaten their property.
I think very telling of the Left is this is the No.1 rated show on cable etc yet keeps getting snubbed in the Emmy’s
I’ve never seen it. But all the controversy; do people not know what a fictional show is? It’s exhausting with these people.
I watch nothing with super liberal Kevin Costner in it. This Sheridan character is just another Hollywood liberal.

Sorry. Getting late.
“It ain’t yours, if ya can’t keep it”.
Huh? There are bits and pieces of what might be woke in Yellowstone. Its just not the base line of the show ffs. People like it because they get good writing, good acting, good stories, without some liberal message being slammed hamfisted down their throats. What a concept.
