It may be hard to tell from the video, but that GIF I posted *IS* a double tap, one down range, one at the sky.
Some people think it's funny to give a very high power handgun or shotgun to an inexperienced woman just to watch them fail at handling the recoil. It is not funny.
Also, this inadvertent double tap is the reason why when I give an unfamiliar gun to a new shooter, or indeed if I am shooting an unfamiliar gun for the first time, I only load ONE ROUND into the weapon. That way if there is any issue with recoil, dropping the weapon from a startle reaction, or whatever, after that one shot the gun is safe.
Good policy.
I like to start shooters with a .22, preferably suppressed.
