I don’t think it’s random.
They knew or encountered the killer on some level, even if it was just before the crime. Could have been they were trying to score some drugs but had no idea how and reached out to the wrong person.
Could be one of the girls rebuffed some psycho, and he got pissed this dude was hanging with 3 girls including the target.
Personally, I think it was even less incidental then that. It wasn’t some serial killer passing through town. At least one of them knew the killer before the crime happened.
I would have had my child come home in a New York minute!
My 2 cents………does this not have the markings of a member of a cartel killing…..very violent and painful…….

This case is bizarre and LE adds to the public’s fear by being vague. Of course certain facts need to be withheld, but not being direct with the public has led to an explosion of rumors and gossip all or none of which may be true.
Sensible parents got their kids out of there immediately- no one knows what is really happening.
It says “sprawling house”. What does that mean exactly? And what were the four of them doing there? Who owns the property? What were the other two people that were “there” doing while this was going on?
WAY more questions that answers here...
Death by stabbing is very violent and messy, so there’s a good chance the police will have strong blood evidence. There’s plenty of blood on the clothes of the killer, or killers. The killer may have also been wounded in the attack, and that will leave DNA. If the girls were raped there’ll be DNA, too. I would venture to guess the police know a lot more than they’re saying right now, but to release too much could damage the investigation.

What seems odd to me is that news reports, including this one describe a “military style knife” and include a brand, and some even include a photograph. These reports were even made before the autopsies.

I read a report last night that said the neighbors said the house was a “party house” with people coming and going all the time - the doors were never locked.
This story gets curiouser and curiouser.
If my daughter were there, I’d pull her home immediately until this is solved. School should be shut down if a killer is still walking around.

Sounds like the news media is gearing up to demonize all bladed knives. I remember when you could buy a civil war bayonet back in the early 1960s.
It brings back memories of Richard Speck, who murdered eight student nurses back in 1966 and the Locust Grove OK murders of girl scouts in 1977.
It’s a White Christian male MAGA supporter until the real murderer is found.
