I saw a tru-detective show once that showed the police/FBI have ‘knife experts’ that can look at a wound(s) and tell from the manner of cuts, length, serrations etc what type of knife or “edged weapon” in this case, was used.
My first thought was a military surplus bayonet................
I’ve got several K-Bar knives. They’re all over 50 years old.
I disbelieve any of the so called forensic ways. It is just a way to put things above the common folks understanding so they can lie convincingly. The FBI is the one who does much of the investigations, how trustworthy are they now?
I remember in WA state a few years ago, they dismissed convictions of DUI because they found that the people doing the testing never calibrated the equipment, or in some cases didn’t do the tests before checking the answers wanted by cops. That involved the FBI in some manner.
