Iirc the closest star is like 4.3 light years away.

all the rest of them are much further.

so if you take squares of difference and energy released into account any random average star exploding would have less effect on earth than a typical politician.

To put this distance in perspective, if you could scale our sun down to the size of a pea, our closest stellar neighbor, Proxima Centauri would be about the size of a peppercorn.

They would be separated by a distance of 118 miles.

Space is really, really big.
