Had a Dieffenbachia in 1979 - saw it turn towards the Sun
Which is not surprising and expected
I heard it move its leaves and turned around to see them shaking as it turned towards the Eastern Sunrise 🌄.
It had just overcome the tension of rotating
Rotating along the central wrap of multiple branches
I read an article in Scientific American (50 years ago, before they forgot the definition of science), that plants turn toward the sun because the stems produce more chloroform on their sunny side, causing the stem to twist.
Just another one of those amazing things that evolve from chaos. ;)
