Actually, no, it is not. HCQ stopped being effective against malaria in Africa decades ago. It is not widely taken there. In fact, it hasn’t been used in so long that a couple of strains that are not chloroquine-resistant have recently been discovered in Uganda.

Ivermectin is also not widely taken. In very specific areas where river blindness or elephantiasis is endemic, it is taken once or twice per year. For intestinal worms, it’s a one-and-done deal.
There is likely a combination of reasons for the lower rate of Covid in Africa. Younger population, fewer people living in buildings with HVAC, lower rate of obesity, fewer comorbidities, more sunshine, etc.
Almost everyone over the age of five living in areas where malaria is endemic have natural immunity and take no antimalarial medications. The development of natural immunity to malaria is an interesting process. Malaria parasites are tricky little devils and switch up the proteins expressed on their surfaces to evade our immune systems. This might be why there is higher resistance to Covid in Africa.

Almost 80% of the population in sub-saharan Africa have anti-bodies to COVID while fewer than 6% have been vaccinated which means COVID is widely prevalent.
In Zambia, 87% of the bodies in one hospital’s morgue were infected with COVID.
There have been between 1 million and 2.9 Million excess deaths.
South African, a country with a robust health care system unlike the rest of Africa, reported over 250,000 excess deaths between may 2020 and Sep 2021.
Bottom line: COVID is rampant in Africa, killing hundreds of thousands if not millions but there is little testing for COVID therefore there are few reports of COVID.

The idiot Twitter user went by an unpublished “study” by a couple of Japanese radiologists(!) who got the bright idea to compare Covid deaths in APOC countries (a program that no longer existed), and wrongly assumed that everyone in the whole country was taking ivermectin, when in fact, both under the old APOC program and the new ESPEN program, it was only given in specific villages. And it was only one dose, once per year, sometimes twice per year and in some areas, a 5-day course was used.

It appears the graphic tweeted by Kbirb was created by or for her (see her Twitter handle @birb_k in upper right corner) or at least she is claiming credit. It appears she (or whoever created it) went to the Johns Hopkins site and plugged in the “ivermectin countries” vs the “non ivermectin countries” in the interactive section for Covid deaths to generate the graphs, then superimposed them on an old APOC map and voila.
So, yes, perhaps the graphs were generated on the Johns Hopkins site, but they were based on faulty assumptions (garbage in, garbage out). There is also another problem with her graphs: they show raw numbers of deaths (which does not take into account the differing populations of these countries), not deaths per million (which does).”

It would appear that the magical path to zero-covid is to stop testing and reporting for COVID.
This is just like all the reporting of the successes of ivermectin in Uttar Pradesh pass out a lot of snake oil, don’t test, don’t report...
