Vladimir Putin guzzled champagne as he blamed Ukraine for Russia's military strikes while admitting the Kremlin has struck key civilian infrastructure.

"There's a lot of noise about our strikes on the energy infrastructure of a neighbouring country. Yes, we do that. But who started it?" the Russian president said at an awards ceremony.

Russian President Vladimir Putin put on a grotesquely grand dinner for senior Kremlin members to award Gold Star medals to Heroes of Russia on the eve of Heroes of the Fatherland Day in Moscow.

-snip-

Also in attendance was Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, Member of the State Duma Valentina Tereshkova and Founder of the Wagner group, Yevgeny Prigozhin.

How leftist of you to accuse others of insanity and needing medical intervention. You are true to form.

You sound like the radical left, suggesting medication to those who view things differently from you.

You’re right. And Trump would have brokered a peace deal by now.

At work I meet a lot people from Ukranian and Russia who still have families there that are suffering.

As far as the news from that area, think most is todays Pravda.

Both leaders are disgusting but my heart goes out for their people.

If you were truly against fascists you would condemn Putin and his actions.

I feel for the Ukrainians too. What enrages me about the war is that our sleazy establishment is using this war to cover their graft on foreign aid and to make a killing on graft and corruption. If you look at America's history our federal government has used foreign wars to impose on Americans taxes and losses of liberty to "support the war. From the federal income tax to the "Patriot" Act. Too many Freepers are either to evil and push for it or stupid to see it.

“Reagan blundered when he sided with Afghan instead of Russia in their border dispute.

Patton was a pit bull who went crazy with power when Berlin fell. Enough died in WW2, we didn’t need more”.

You are off on both points. You need a history refresher.

Russian-Afghan “Border dispute”?

Patton expressed his opinions but could not exercise any power at the end of the war.
