A man and a great athlete died and most of you so-called Christians are championing his death because of his politics. Disgraceful.

It’s par for the course. Goes with making fun of deaths on the border, playing up the body count in cities to make political points, and much more. They can thump that Bible when it comes to sodomites and abortion (which is accurate, don’t get me wrong) but when it comes to charity to a strangers/aliens or their fellow man who they disagree with, forget about it. It’s an embarrassment to Christians who have to explain the hypocrisy.

I agree with you. Franco was a good player on a great team, maybe the best team of all time. Felt the same way about Bradshaw. Good QB on a great team.
I was at the game in Cleveland in 1976 when Joe Turkey Jones sacked Bradshaw headfirst into the turf. Wildest game I ever attended. More action in the stands than on the field, LOL.

I didn’t know until recently that Jack “They Call Me Assassin” Tatum was the one who tipped the ball that Harris caught.

Eric Dickerson.
Eric Dickerson is in the next era, otherwise I would have certainly included him. Same with Earl Campbell. A little later you get Barry Sanders. Eric Dickerson was the greatest runner I had seen. But guys like Payton and Faulk were great at receiving and blocking, too, which is part of the job description of a modern running back.

One of my definitions of a GREAT player is one who forces a rule change. Deacon Jones and Lester Hayes certainly did that. So did Greg Pruitt, who was a standout star on a lot of mediocre Cleveland teams. He was so quick and slippery, that defenders would try to grab his jersey,so he started wearing tear away jerseys, sometimes going through two or three a game.
