Transgender male swimmer struggling against new competition after earning All-American honors as female

Iszak Henig, a transgender male, joined Yale's men's swimming team after finishing last year as an All-American female swimmer.

Henig has taken hormones for eight months amid his transition, but the senior's times are "about the same as they were at the end of last season," he wrote in an op-ed piece for the New York Times on Thursday.

Henig wrote that during a meet in November among 83 swimmers, he finished in 79th place....

...However, Henig's goal isn't necessarily to win as a man.....

"Instead, I’m trying to connect with my teammates in new ways, to cheer loudly, to focus more on the excitement of the sport," Henig wrote. "Competing and being challenged is the best part.

Except you're so slow that you're not competitive and there's no challenge. Although, to be fair, Henig was faster than a swimmer with one arm.

Also, if your goal isn't to win, maybe you should just go swim laps in a pool and not enter a swim meet.

This mental illness affects both sexes. Its not about who wins trophies that makes it a problem. Its a problem about mental illness and it affects both pretendaboys and pretendagirls. Don’t understand why she wants to be a man. If she cannot find happiness as a woman, then why expect it trying to be someone else?

If she wants to hang out with guys, then hang out with them as a woman. They probably show more interest in her if she were not pretending to be a guy.

yep,I typed it wrong/ backwards. trans means fake. trans woman= fake woman.

Trans means you have a mental disorder. I dont have to understand it to know to avoid you because you are nuking futs.
