If they were serious about “soot” we would be diverting much more money towards forest management. The wildfires in the West put millions of tons of “soot” and particulate in the air.
It’s frustrating that they are so concerned about my woodstove or the size of my slashpile when tens of thousands of acres of pine trees and brush burn in this region every year.
“ If they were serious about “soot”, they would ban volcanoes. Those things produce more “soot” than every stove, exhaust pipe or industrial furnace on earth!
