Except is was. Police wearing Cossack rags and the police encouraged them to show up at this meeting they never attended, for good reason. And the police weren't there to monitor the meeting, they were set in shooting positions. Most of the people were shot by police ARs and some were shot by Cossacks. The Cossacks, with their police under covers instigated the trouble. There was only one criminal trial and that Bandit was found not guilty. Why did it all stop after that? And yes, there is issues between clubs about patches. But I was around some of this back when. Just some gut on a bike with a leather jacket and a good looking girl friend. I stayed out of their business and they were friendly enough. I didn't go out of my way to hang out where they were.
You are listening to biker crap if you think the Cossack attack was Waco cops, wearing colors. Cossack and Bandracketeeros were hotly contesting Waco as “turf”. Fights at Toy Runs and at least one Bandito murdered a Cossack in the months preceding it.
Cossacks started the shooting. Waco cops finished it with 12 whole rounds from 4 cops. About 30 more shots were fired by the turf warring idiots. Texas DPS isn’t corrupt and that’s the facts.
It was all over whether a Cossack could wear a rocker that said “Texas”. You have to ask permission for that apparently from the main sorority there. Silliest thing I’ve ever seen.
Every biker site you can find tells you that it’s extremely dangerous to wear a rocker patch with a state name, or one in red and gold or red and white.
Talk in facts. They live and breathe intimidation and threats to everyone around them. The Cossacks were the first problem that day, and no, not cops. Lots of videos of Cossacks murdering banditos. But the Bandidos were the root problem by claiming that as enforceable criminal turf. And by their idiot mentality that if someone is at Twin Peaks without being “invited” or “asking permission”, it’s a fight.
Turns out the turf belongs to Waco PD and Texas DPS. Waco is a pretty nice town for nice people. That is who mattered that day.
Motorcycling is great and love it. But they need to act right in nice towns. That’s just how it is.
