I don't deny Roger Waters has talent. But if you take The Wall and remove the tunes that Gilmour co-wrote (Young Lust, Comfortably Young, and Run Like Hell), you don't have a blockbuster. Take a way the songs on which Gilmour sang, and you have a bargain bin $0.99 cut out.

Roger and David are like John and Paul. Their solo efforts are equally strong and weak - Lennon was meh on his own, same as Roger. Gilmour and Macca had great solo careers.

But Waters, as much as i despise him. wrote all the songs on Animals, except one which he co-wrote with Gilmour. Most Pink Floyd fans prefer that over The Wall.
