Using this tech to create fiction where it makes someone appear to do or not do something they didn’t do, is the real problem.
Because it could be used as evidence to set someone up. To railroad someone. Conspiracy. I see a lot of guys potentially targeted for being defrauded by the opposite sex for harassment or worse that they never did.
Our freedoms and liberties have never been more in jeopardy.

There was an excellent deepfake of Biden talking about trannies last Friday. You could tell it was fake because, in the film, Biden spoke coherently in well structured, complete and logical sentences.
The Twitter account that had put the video up is now suspended.
It has gotten so bad that one could easily create a video showing Donald Trump dancing cheek-to-cheek with Nancy Pelosi and singing “Springtime for Hitler” ...

and no, I don't see anything misogynistic in saying I don't really understand why someone would feel so "violated" when its fake. Its not them. They are not the one depicted in the faked video. To those who are I'd just say they shouldn't look at it as if it were themselves in those images. Its not and they know its not.

After the initial shock and social backlash, this type of video tech will push the boundaries and eventually become ubiquitous.
