Hi Ren...
Some of the responses have been interesting. I agree with you, with others not seeing any talent whatsoever, obviously not watching the whole thing - “angelic voice vs. ‘not even singing’” :)
Hi Ren...indeed for me. I’ve been binging on some of his other work. The “Tale of Jenny and Screech” is fantastic, recommend - 3 songs done in one take each.
I was cussing your azz last night as I watched reaction videos to this song from a hotel room in Roanoak Rapids, NC until 0230, knowing darned well I was traveling all day today.
Hahahahaha!!! ...well, sorry to hear, you’re probably exhausted. That said, you ain’t the only one :P If you read some of the reaction video comments many others are doing the same thing. I’ve never seen so many reaction videos to the same song.
When you get time...you have to do another from him, “Tale of Jenny and Screech” - a Trilogy, all single take songs/video, no camera cuts. Very British (I grew up there)...very much the dark side of the UK.
Sh!t… I’ve seen/heard everything he has out there right now. Unfortunately I listened to Violet before Jenny and Screech, so I lost some impact on that one. I liked Chalk Outlines and Genesis too. Really haven’t heard one I didn’t like yet. Im definitely a fan. He’s been busking in London for awhile and that’s where he honed his performance chops. Never seen anything like him and to do all of those songs live… that just doesn’t happen anymore. I’ll be watching this one to see what he does next.
My boys are listening to him now too. 15 and 18.
I lasted 65 seconds and skipped to a few later frames. This must be for younger people or something.
I wouldn’t say that...many comments on YT are from 60/70 yo’s. The messaging really relates to everyone but you have to watch it through the end. I do understand how the first few mins sound to older folks...
Wow...now a family affair 😉
And yeah...hearing Violets Tale first is unfortunate.
Glad you’re enjoying...figured many here at FR wouldn’t see it the same.
It’s an older bunch. I’m 52, but music is something I explore all the time. From bluegrass to thrash, funk to Mo’Town. I listen to it all. Except for Dub or EDM… garbage.
You mean I’m supposed to have it un-muted??
