SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A family said they were attacked after getting caught up in the middle of a sideshow on their way home in Sacramento and video shared on social media shows some of the scary moments.
"We definitely all were fearing for our lives. I could hear it in my kids’ voices," Amanda Hensley said.

People threw beer bottles at her van, someone pushed her children's father, and, she said, they were attacking him. She said someone punched her 14-year-old son, and her younger children ran out of the van, screaming.
If it had been my family in my car I could think of 12 40 caliber hollow point reasons this would have turned out poorly for the hooligans'
What do they mean by sideshow? I thought that sideshow were the extra tents at a fair?
so sad for the innocent family, but am a little annoyed that the mom is obviously only interested in the insurance company totaling the van.

Apparently "sideshow" is thug talk for thugs doing doughnuts in the street in their cars while their thug buddies watch the "sideshow" and attack traffic trying to use the streets.

Ya know, when we were kids we did some stupid stuff, we did burnouts and donuts, street racing,... but we NEVER tried to take over a public intersection to do it, we went out in the boonies and isolated non populated areas to do stupid sh$t. These snot nosed punks that can’t figure out which bathroom to use just need a little Ass Whooping and maybe a few bullet holes to straighten them out.
Horrible, but confused as to how they were pushing the father who was in the van & after midnight with 4 kids in the car???
