it’s too bad and i think Bruce would prefer privacy instead of the “shout it from the rooftops” approach his wives have taken.
Why would his family keep something like this a secret?
The completely bogus and silly claim that Bruce Willis had a disease called aphasia was absurd from day one.
A healthy Bruce Willis would have never agreed to this deliberate deception.
Aphasia is a SYMPTOM of serious brain disease or brain injury.
Why would his family insult the intelligence of his millions of fans?
Why would the news media go along with this pathetic medical hoax for months?
Well, I see a difference, but I’m just saying it’s a bit academic, isn’t it? Bruce Willis has been making mostly crap films for a couple decades, and I don’t think you can blame all that on his recent condition. So where does the line between him choosing those films and his family “pimping him” begin?
Die hard is the best Christmas movie.
Or President.
I hope he doesn’t start shooting down balloons.
He had been churning out straight to dvd crap for 15 years or so. When he began losing his memory, his acting options were limited and these "film makers" were willing to work around his disabilities AND pay him millions, so there was no reason to stop.
I read he had to have his lines fed to him through an earpiece. Very sad ending to a good career.
Very sad about Bruce. I’ve always ALWAYS been a fan of all his movies.
Back in 1990, I worked with him in DIE HARD 2, in Denver. Between takes, one cold snowy morning, I was walking to the camera crew’s “video village” to watch one of the replays. After, I turned to walk the narrow sidewalk, back to my scene position, when Willis came down the path toward me. Surprised, I stopped as he also stopped... and just glared at me. I stepped off the sidewalk, into the snow, and let him pass. After, I realized that he was 100% in his John McLane character. I walked away thinking how cool - and surreal that was.
Its a love story!
Exactly. Bruce chose this path many years ago, so it's not like it was elder abuse.
Sorry to hear this.
“Sick how his family pimped him out for a string of shitty films so they could fatten the bank accounts before the golden goose was no longer able.”
Not sure who is responsible for what but Bruce was lucky to get any work at all considering he couldn’t act. If you read about it you see that each and every scene was a big deal to film. The movie shoots had to be fully scheduled around him.
No question.
Christmas In Connecticut and White Christmas are second.
I remember way back when I first saw him in Moonlighting. The TV series sucked, but Bruce made it somewhat watchable.
Yeah this one is sad :(
Prayers up for Bruce and his family.
This is a very unforgiving disease.
Lord, give them all the strength and patience to deal with it.
“(And no, Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie.)”
BLASPHEMER!!!
Surely Saint John McClane shall strike you down for your blasphemy.
with you on “all-time favorite.” One of the few from Hollywood that I wish I could have a beer and a brat with, sitting around a crackling campfire.
