Study supports links between bovine meat and milk factor protein expression, inflammation as cause of colorectal cancer (Cattle-based products infect the human gut)
Medical Xpress / Wiley / Molecular Oncology ^ | Feb. 22, 2023 | Timo Bund, Ph.D. et al

Bovine meat and milk factors (BMMFs)—initially identified by de Villiers et al. in 2014—represent a class of infectious agents in beef and cow's milk that have been linked to the development of cancer. New research published in Molecular Oncology suggests that monitoring the presence and rate of expression of a BMMF-encoded replication protein (Rep) in inflammatory sites of the tissues may help identify individuals at risk for developing colorectal cancer subsequently after decades-long latency periods.

The study compared the presence of Rep and specific immune cells in tissues from people with and without colorectal cancer. In addition to observing differences in Rep expression between these groups, the investigators identified the Rep in immune cells involved in inflammation in precancerous stages, supporting an early contribution of BMMF to colorectal cancer by inflammation-driven indirect carcinogenesis described by zur Hausen in 2001 and 2009.

"With further studies, we aim to address whether the identification of BMMF-positive inflamed tissue can be used as an early risk marker for colorectal cancer. Therefore, first monitoring of Rep expression and inflammation in biopsies is important to better understand BMMF-specific induction of cancer and prognosis," said corresponding author Timo Bund, Ph.D., of the German Cancer Research Centre. "The early identification of BMMF might offer new options for preventive and therapeutical intervention."

This is pretty wild, but the study claims we get infected by infectious agents that only exist in beef and cow milk products, and that we make these same products as our bodies make colon cancer.

What I read of the paper was shocking.

I’d definitely encourage anyone with colon cancer should stop any ingestion of these products, in favor of lamb, bison, chicken, or other meats and other beverages, until it’s in remission. However, they say the infection stays latent for years.

There are now multiple papers on this effect.

This study comes out the same time governments are trying to discourage people from eating meat. How convenient.

I have said it before, in another context, and I repeat it here.

Correlation does not imply causation. Statistics alone prove nothing.

But it sure can churn up a lot of grant money, for further publication of even more statistics, based on the same questionable premise.

More pertinent to the subject - have these beef and dairy milk factor protein expressions been accurately identified?

I find it amazing how they just added almond juice and soy juice to what can be called milk. The timing of this is so obvious. Next in a short time we will see calls to ban real cows milk from all schools. Capture the children and it’s over.

And I have stated this in another context and will say it again, here:

“This is a correlation with some confounders removed, making it more likely to show causation.”

I struggle to believe anyone who says this is bad, this is good. The timing is just too suspicious

I also have to wonder if they were testing meat and dairy from grain-fed or from grass-fed cows?

Amazing how all of a sudden foods people like become dangerous and unhealthy: beef, coffee, chocolate, etc.

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw decades ago - a bunch of cows are lined up at a feeding trough and one says to the next one “Beef causes cancer, pass it on”.

Grass fed, grass finished beef is the way to go.
Where are the studies that show otherwise?

So, people have been eating beef since they learned how to make fire, kill a cow and cook it over said fire.

Now they want us eating crickets and ‘plant based meat’(whatever that is) and all of a sudden cows are bad.

Got it.

I am 76 years old and have eaten BEEF and milk products all my life. No gut problems yet.

They have been trying to get people to quit eating meat for the last sixty years. I still remember tests done on steaks back in those days that showed large amounts of cancer causing products in the grilled meat.
After the testing was done, the testers chowed down on the steaks.

since people aren’t willingly going for the bug-burgers...

now it’s time to push the false reports of beef related foods and how they’re bad for you and will kill us all.
