Jews have been opposed by many people in many different places for thousands of years. Anyone who wants to understand the grievances against Jews can simply look them up. The list of reasons has been well-documented for centuries and has been remarkably consistent over that entire time.
Today in America we have all been conditioned to considered it noble to claim ignorance of this clear historical record, and evil and virtually criminal to have knowledge of this history. This thread is a stark example of this conditioning. The only thing anyone will say here is “People are envious of the Jews’ success.” The actual truth is every single person reading this thread and posting to it could list a half-dozen other major items from the list but will not because it is against the rules to do so.
As the old saying goes, “If you want to know who rules over you, just buy Mel Gibson a few drinks.”
Jews aren’t the only ones who are good with money. A close friend of mine was a wizard with money and she managed my meager savings into a small fortune.
And she came from a Dutch family.
They knew. And they nuanced the hell out of that rule by inventing letters of credit. Which allowed them to not technically lend the money, but instead to pay your bill for you, and you’d pay them back, but it wasn’t an interest loan, honest, just ask them. Probably helped a lot that the Catholic Church really wanted to borrow money, but not from Jews.

God’s given the Jews specials gifts and talents because they are his chosen and he loves them even though as a whole they have gone astray. (Soon Israel will come to Jesus.)
The Jews’ downfall is
1) attempted justification by the law (doesn’t exist) vs. being justified by faith, and
2) pride (taking credit for their God-given talents instead of humble gratefulness to the Lord).
The cure of course is Jesus to whom Israel will come in the not-too-distant future.

Government tends to be backward thinking. It’s in the nature of consensus. There are lags. In contrast, progress comes from those individuals who sensibly violate the consensus.
In this case, land ownership had prestige. The Government forbad Jews from owning land. Being a “money-changer” was seen as being for the lowest of the low. Jews were allowed to do that. So the government forbids Jews from agriculture, an industry in decline, but allows them to enter banking, a growth industry. Government screws things up so badly that, intending to screw the Jews, it makes them rich.
Look at Democrats. They still hate cars. They love trains and windmills. Nostalgia rules the day. Wasn’t it nice when the rich road in horse-drawn carriages on their way to the train station? Let’s return to the days of “Upstairs, Downstairs,” living upstairs of course. Democrats still want to take care of Blacks, just like they did when they literally owned them.
I've always been baffled by the hatred of the Jews. I'm not claiming ignorance, I am ignorant of it. Other than what Thomas Sowell said, and the influence of the devil on humanity.

1. Every group has been hated by someone. The Holocaust was indescribably horrible, but hardly the only incidence of humans hating and killing other humans, or of attempted genocide. ISIS burning people to death in cages is a relatively recent example of human cruelty.
2. There are smart people all over the world, and plenty of people with high IQs from every part of the world and from every race, creed, heritage. IQ is definitely affected by access to and level of education - and the emphasis on learning in early life. Thus, coming from a family or culture that emphasizes education matters when it comes to IQ.
3. No one who hates goes unaffected or undiminished by their hatred.

1) You statement is incorrect. No, Jews do not run all the banks.
2) Historically, in Eastern Europe, Jews were barred from all the professions, so a small number of Jews became money lenders.
3)In Germany, in later centuries, for instance, Jews were required to convert to Christianity in order apply to enter a profession. Likely half of today’s Germans have some Jewish ancestors.
3) Christian hatred is rooted in Christian anti-Semitism and the claim of deicide.
4) Islamic hatred is likewise religious hatred - spelled out in the Koran.
5) Black anti-Semitism was incited, starting in the late 1960s, by the pushing of the Nation of Islam in the prisons. The Koran is filled with anti-Semitism.

The press does not help. I watched the nightly news for years (decades). I don’t recall any mention of supply and demand. It’s not that the press wasn’t interested in wealth and prices and who to blame. They just lacked any background.
We hear of “raising the minimum wage.” How about “outlawing low paying jobs” instead. We hear about price controls with absolutely no realization that shortages might ensue.
What happens when the press hammers “slum landlords”? Many landlords exit the industry. Those who remain become richer than ever as they face less competition. “That wasn’t the idea!” How many times have I heard those words.
When Biden was shutting down pipelines, denying permits to drill on Federal lands and offshore, and otherwise attacking the US oil industry, who realized that he was lining the pockets of other oil producers? Russia and Saudi Arabia were the primary beneficiaries. Biden financed Putin’s war on the Ukraine.
How many people realize that trade, like agriculture and manufacturing, produces wealth?
“Greed,” “usury,” “price gouging,” “rich”, are terms of popular discourse. They are never defined. You can get degrees in economics and not rear or read those terms - and rightfully so.

I had a nice Jewish friend years ago, much older than me. She was good with money, to say the least. I was ribbing her about it one day and she told me this joke:
An old Jewish woman was walking along the beach with her young grandson one day, when a huge wave crashed up on shore and swept the boy out to sea. Devastated, the grandmother cried out to God to please, please, please save her boy, please bring him back to her. Well, two waves later, the boy gets splashed up onto the beach, alive and well.
